VersaSuite, an HIS specialty-specific and complete EHR and practice management solution, have announced it has released version 8.2 of its electronic health records software.
VersaSuite's enterprise resource planning module enables institutions of all sizes to more effectively manage employees, time and attendance, payroll, and accounting, as well as generate complete financial statements, oversee system security, and track marketing campaigns. VersaSuite is comprised of modules that perform all the necessary functions for the most demanding clinics, surgical centers, and hospitals.

VersaSuite-Advanced Security - The security module allows users to grant and deny access to each and every screen per employee. The audit log tracks every click made, and the audit trail records every edit. The module includes a VIP patient support feature, as well as a check sum function to validate database integrity.
Additionally, to prevent protected health information leaks, no patient information is ever downloaded to mobile devices. VersaSuite security exceeds HIPAA and CCHIT security requirements.
VersaSuite-Accounting - VersaSuite features enterprise level accounting with general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Users can also automatically create journal entries from other VersaSuite modules.
VersaSuite-HR – The newest version allows HR departments to manage employee information, employee scheduling, credentialing, and performance reviews and analyses.
VersaSuite-Time and Attendance- VersaSuite 8.2 also incorporates an employee time-clock and time sheets that integrate with VersaSuite-Accounting and VersaSuite-Payroll modules.
VersaSuite-Payroll - Users can now print checks from VersaSuite, which can access data from the VersaSuite- Time and Attendance module to expedite the payroll process.
VersaSuite-Prospect - Communication features include referral tracking and management, patient lead tracking, and patient communication tools. Version 8.2 incorporates marketing campaign management, campaign ROI analysis including cost per lead and cost per procedure.
Additionally, VersaSuite offers call center sales tools, sales conversion rate information, and revenue forecasting functionality. The enterprise resource planning module interfaces with existing VersaSuite modules. VersaSuite Modules The VersaSuite hospital information system module is a custom solution for hospitals designed to improve payer performance, accelerate cash collection, and carefully track production through advanced reporting, among many other functions.
VersaSuite HIS incorporates advanced Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR) systems to help reduce medical errors and provide better quality of care. VersaSuite has an enterprise practice management module loaded with features to help manage the most complex clinical enterprises. VersaSuite’s electronic health records module makes it easy to enter large amounts of clinical data using a fast, click-based data entry.
VersaSuite’s electronic medication administration record (EMAR) interface includes a visual display of all outstanding orders for each patient and color-coding to easily distinguish overdue orders, orders due now, and future orders. A single view displays all patients and eliminates the need to check each patient individually. The computerized provider order entry (CPOE) seamlessly integrates with other modules and offers clinical decision support (CDS) and order and order set management. The radiology information system (RIS)/picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is a robust system for handling the most demanding radiology needs and adheres to the DICOM standard for image formatting to ensure interoperability and quality images. Lab information system (LIS) allows for automatic code capture which feeds the billing and revenue cycle management (RCM), CPOE orders, and the clinical decision support (CDS), including lab-allergy checks.
VersaSuite’s nutritional inventory system management simplifies and automates setting up and ordering detailed, ad-hoc, and predefined meal plans. This module also includes setup and food order, automatic meal charge with discounting capture, inventory tracking, data analysis tools, bulk purchasing, point of sales, UPC support, and seamless integration with HIS, CPOE and EHR. The inventory module enables medical facilities and hospitals to track inventory levels, including orders, costs, and sales, in real-time. An enterprise-strength solution with no software limits to allow storage of millions of items and materials. The inventory module allows multi-site support and interfaces with scanners from a range of manufacturers, inventory reconciling to identify and prevent theft, and an integrated point of sales system.
